Savage Youth was 1 of 12 projects selected worldwide to participate in the Venice Film Festival’s 4th annual development fund run by the Biennale College in Italy. It follows the true story, which was much discussed at the time, of the murders of two young men on January 10th, 2013.
The dramatic story rocked the working class Chicago suburb of Joliet as four youths stood accused of the crime. Inspired by true events, Savage Youth is the harrowing story of a girl whose life turned into a real American horror show when she fell in love with the wrong boy. Starring young but very promising and recognizable actors, Chloe Levine, Grace Victoria Cox, Tequan Richmond and Will Brittain, it is Directed by Michael Curtis-Johnson and produced by Michael Peluso.
